Electrical Engineer
Job Description
- Responsible for electrical/electronic designs from conception to manufacturing including: library part creation, schematic capture, component placement, and routing
- Responsible for building and maintaining a variety of embedded software used in company’s projects
- Researches new components, technologies, and methods to incorporate into new designs
- Creates and reviews all documentation required to support electrical configuration and implementations
- Performs electrical design analyses in support of product development activities
- Interfaces with software, systems, and mechanical engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are captured and accomplished
- Analyzes and adapts third-party software to support integration
- Conducts test and evaluation activities on electrical designs to verify and sign-off of all design requirements
- Works with Project Engineers to ensure design solutions are delivered on time and on budget and meet other project management requirements
- Other duties as directed
Job Responsibilities
The incumbent should have knowledge in the following areas:
- Understanding of technical theories / concepts in field of electrical engineering design and manufacturing
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Embedded software experience
- Knowledge of Government standards and requirements preferred
